ITIL is the acronym of IT Infrastructure Library which is essentially a series of documents that are used in a best practices lifecycle framework for IT Service Management. This framework defines how Service Management is applied within an organisation.
ITIL is organised into a series of five volumes: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement. The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) is the most widely accepted approach to IT service management in the world. This is a best practice framework that has been drawn from both the public and private sectors internationally.
This course describes how to organise IT resources to deliver business value and to document the processes, functions and roles of IT Service Management (ITSM). ITIL Foundation course is designed to enable delegates to understand the disciplines and processes that help service management staff to both deliver and support quality.
